Welcome to OnToolBox. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Description of Services

OnToolBox provides a collection of online tools including but not limited to:

• PDF tools (merge, split, compress, convert)
• Image tools (resize, compress, crop, convert)
• Text tools (word counter, case converter, formatters)
• Calculators (financial, health, general purpose)
• Converters (units, currency, temperature, data)
• Developer tools (JSON formatter, encoders, generators)

All tools process files entirely in your browser. We do not upload, store, or have access to your files.

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You can use all our tools without creating an account
• Account creation is optional and provides access to personalized features
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

Account Responsibilities

• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Use our services for any illegal purpose
• Process files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Process files you do not have the right to use
• Violate any intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse our services
• Interfere with or disrupt our services
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Resell or redistribute our services without permission

File Processing

Client-Side Processing

• All file processing happens entirely in your browser
• Your files never leave your device
• We do not upload, receive, or store your files
• Files are processed using JavaScript in your browser
• Processed files exist only in your browser's memory
• Files are immediately discarded when you close the page

Your Responsibility

• You are responsible for downloading and saving processed files
• We cannot recover files once you close the browser
• Always keep backups of important files
• Verify results before using them for important purposes

File Size Recommendations

For optimal performance, we recommend:

• Images: Up to 10MB per file
• PDFs: Up to 25MB per file
• Documents: Up to 15MB per file

Larger files may work but could cause performance issues depending on your device capabilities.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content on OnToolBox, including design, code, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

Your Content

You retain all rights to files you process. Since all processing happens in your browser and we never receive your files, we have no access to or rights over your content.

Service Availability

• We strive to provide reliable services but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
• Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
• We may modify or discontinue features with notice
• We are not liable for service interruptions

Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy or reliability of results
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Security or error-free operation

You use our services at your own risk. Always verify important results and maintain backups of important files.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONTOOLBOX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, files, or content
• Loss of profits or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or errors
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Results produced by our tools

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any), whichever is less.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OnToolBox from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of any rights of others
• Content you process using our tools

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Your account is inactive for an extended period
• We are required to do so by law

You may close your account at any time through your profile settings.

Future Paid Features

While our services are currently free, we may introduce premium features in the future. If we do:

• Current free features will remain free
• Premium features will be clearly marked
• Pricing will be transparent
• You will never be charged without explicit consent

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Sending an email to registered users

Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
